Adding a Fund

From the Fund Allocation window, select Add anytime you want to add a fund to the highlighted level and build out your funding structure.

Fields

Name

Enter the name of the fund.

Description

Enter a description for the fund.

Locked

Leave set to false. Change to true if you are no longer using a fund in a given fiscal year.

Type

Define the fund type. Types include:

  • General – the most commonly used. Use this for all internal funds/accounts that do not need to be made available online potentially.
  • Funding Need – sets the fund up as an initiative that can be made available on-line for direct donation.
  • Corporate Campaign – associates the fund with corporate campaign initiatives being tracked in the Campaign module.

Donatable Online

Set this to true for Funding Need designations you want available through your donation page.

Agency designation allowed

This is used in conjunction with Corporate Campaigns to allow an agency / employer to designate specific funds for their campaign initiatives.

Accounting Code

The accounting code utilized in your chart of accounts.

Program Code

A secondary code for the fund or account that may be utilized in your chart of accounts.

Fund Target

Used to keep track of a goal for the fund for the fiscal year.
