Send an Email
Compass-360 has several locations where an email can be sent. All will result in using the Email Broadcaster.
The Email Broadcaster is a tool to manage the distribution list, email asset, and other email settings.
Important to note:
The broadcaster will always honor the communication status on the constituents record. If it is set to Do Not Email or Do Not Solicit, they will not be sent an email. You can override Do Not Solicit statuses at your own discretion.
Send a One-Off Email
This is a great way to test your emails before you send to a list. From the constituent module, search for a constituent. Right click the constituent record and click Send Email.
The Email Broadcaster will open. Select your asset or create a new one with the 
and click Send.
Send to your Newsletter List
If you have been tagging your constituents with the newsletter tag, we can query this list and send them an email.
You can do this from a few places, but let’s start in the Query module.
Open the Query module, expand the Constituents folder of queries, click on [0005] Specific Tag Query. Choose the newsletter tag (or any other tag you have been using), specify a value and date ranges if necessary. Leave the value blank to search for any constituent with this tag.
Click Apply and a results window will show up. You can filter these results if needed and when ready, at the bottom of that window, click Email.
This will open the Email Broadcaster window.
