Creating Auction Packages

Once you have added your donated items to Compass360, you will need to add those items to auction packages. Each item will need to be assigned to an auction package, even if the item is the only item in a package, before they can be assigned to an auction.

  1. Navigate to the Packages & Sections section.
  1. Click the Add Action Package button to create an Auction Package.
  1. On the Auction Package screen you will be asked to enter the details of the package, including which procured items will be added to the package.  

Info: In order for an item to be able to be assigned to an auction, the item will need to be placed in a package, even if that item is the only item in a package.

Fields

Package Name

Enter a descriptive name of the package.

Package Description

Enter a description of the package.

Package Value

The package value will be set as the total value of all items added to the package. You will be able to add items to the package in the Auction Package Details at the bottom of the dialog box.

Show Value As

Select if you will show the value of the package as the value entered in the Packaged Value section, or show the value as Priceless.

Starting Bid %

Enter the % of the Package Value at which you would like set the Starting Bid.

Raise By %

This is the percentage that the bids will be raised by,

Win It Now %

Set the percentage of the Package Value that will need to be bid to “Win It Now”.

Win it now $

This dollar amount will be determined by multiplying the “Win It Now %” and the “Package Value”.

Auto Fill Bid Sheets

If you will be creating bid sheets for your packages through Compass-360, you can select if those bid sheets will be auto filled with bid amounts determined by the Raise by %.

Auction Package Details

Move the items that you would like to add to this package from the Available Donations section to the Package Contents section.

View Bid Sheet

Click the View Bid Sheet button to load a bid sheet for this package.
