Funding & Grants

If your organization applies for grants, you can use Compass-360 to manage the grant application process.

  1. Navigate to the Funding/Grants module.
  2. You will first want to enter the Organization for whose grant you will be applying. In Compass-360, these are tracked as Sources. Click the Manage Source button.
  1. Enter the basic information on the Source.

Fields

Funder

Select the organization that is offering the grant.

Solicitor

Enter the Solicitor for this grant.

Owner

Select the person at your organization who will ultimately own the application process for this grant.

Researcher

Select the person at your organization who is responsible for research around this grant.

Send Application To

Select the constituent at the funding organization that you will ultimately be sending the application to.

Apply to Website

If you will be applying online, enter the website where you will be entering the application.

Program Name

Enter the program name for the application.

Is Active

Set this to true if this is an active application.

Rating

Enter the internal rating of the priority of this grant application.

Status

Update the status of the application.

Annual Distribution

Enter the total amount that will be distributed for this grant.

Grant Min

Enter the Minimum amount that you can apply for.

Grant Max

Enter the Maximum amount you can apply for.

Deadline

Enter the grant application deadline.

Notes & Details

In the Notes and Details section you can add notes on different elements of the grant.

  1. When the source has been entered, you can enter the grant Request that you will be applying for by clicking on the New Request button.
  1. Enter the information on the Request.
  1. Once you have entered your Funding Source and Funding Requests, you can use the Queries button so that you can view and organize your grant requests.
